7 Easy Detox Tips to keep you healthy

And broccoli sprouts’ benefits go beyond just the liver. “They contain the precursors of a highly studied substance known as sulforaphane, which has been shown to help prevent certain cancers,” Dr. Passler points out.

One of the most common ways to reap the health benefits of lemon is by juicing it. Lemon juice acts as a digestive and a detoxifying agent and helps in cleaning the liver leading to better digestive health.

7. Beauty Products

There are products that contain harmful toxins and should be avoided.

Triclosan is added to soaps and washes and even some clothing or cookware to reduce bacteria in products. Fragrances are usually made up of other harmful chemicals, like parabens, benzene derivatives, aldehydes, and more that are linked to cancer and nervous system issues. Phthalates are commonly found in nail polishes, hair sprays, deodorants, perfumes, and moisturizing lotions, are meant to keep products soft and flexible. There have been reports of phthalates being linked to various cancers, including breast, liver, kidney and lung, though no causal relationship has been proven.
