Your health and well-being has a direct impact on your ability to provide excellent care for your patients so we wanted to share some of our favourite eNurse self-care strategies to help you fill your cup back up!

  • Take some time out for yourself:
    We like to take a few minutes each day to practice mindfulness or meditation. This could be some long breaths, a cup of tea with the morning sun on your face or even a little shavasna on a yoga mat…these techniques can help reduce stress and improve focus.

  • Get some fresh air: 
    If you’re anything like us you’re sick of windowless rooms…getting out and seeing the skyline, seaside or even just a walk to the shops can boost your mood and endorphins. If you’re feeling more adventurous, yoga and pilates are our top tips!

  • Book in a daytime nap:
    Go on, you can do it…get your head down on the pillow when you least expect it! A little doze on the couch, a chair nap or a ‘day sleep’ can do wonders for your energy levels!

  • Blend your favourite smoothie:
    We love adding all the ‘greens’ into a coconut water and frozen berry smoothie to get that nutritional boost!

  • Text an old friend or colleague:
    Connect with other nurses and people who understand your world…let them know you’re thinking about them! to share experiences and find support when you need it. You’ll find a great community over on our TikTok page!

Remember, your health matters just as much as the care you provide to others!
